UF IFAS Franklin County Team

The UF IFAS Franklin County team is a small army striving to enhance the quality of human life with researched based solutions. Erik, the CED or County Extension Director, is a member of ACF Stakeholders Governing Board, Extension Professionals Association of Florida and ISSC (Interstate Shellfish Sanitation), you will see him around town taking soil samples, helping with lawn pests, studying diseases on citrus trees and/or palm trees, hosting a meeting on shellfish and educating individuals about our natural habitats through Panhandle Outdoors Live events. Michelle, you will find in the office, managing and multitasking all the different venues UF IFAS has to offer - beekeeping - 4-H - lawn and garden - mushrooms - Sea Turtle friendly lights - shellfish harvesting certification - soil samples - etc. Kayle, you will find at our local schools teaching Franklin County youth the importance of nutrition. If she is not at the school she is educating adults at Franklin's Promise. Together we strive to make knowledge accessible to enhance solutions for your life.
